Some notable Bolton accomplishments:
• Opposed the UN Millennial Development Goals program aimed at reducing poverty and hunger in third world countries
• Voted against the establishment of the UN Human Rights Council, one of only four countries to do so
• Lobbied for human rights stalwarts Russia and China to get a seat on the HRC
• Attempted to withhold UN dues
• Skipped a security council mission to war-torn Darfur for a speaking engagement at a right wing think tank, the only high-ranking member of the council absent
